Matthew D. Taylor is an award-winning writer and director from Canterbury-Bankstown, Sydney. 

Matthew’s work has screened at various international and domestic film festivals, online publications, and broadcast programs. These include: BAFTA Aesthetica, MIFF (Accelerator Lab), St. Kilda, Flickerfest, CLIPPED.TV, Rage, and Fashion Journal.

He has a Masters in Directing from AFTRS, a Diploma of Screen and Media from Metro Screen, and a Cert. III in Live Production at Tafe. 

Matthew cut his teeth in Sydney’s DIY Punk and Hardcore scene. He aims to imbue his creative practice with the spirit and ethos of this community.
